John Baimba Sesay
John Baimba Sesay is a Sierra Leonean Diplomat, working in his country’s Embassy in the People’s Republic of China.
In 2010, he graduated with a Master of Art degree from Fourah Bay College and two years earlier got his Bachelor of Art Degrees (Mass Communication) from the same University of Sierra Leone.
He has a wealth of experience in Journalism and Media Relations, having worked with a number of newspapers in his home country including; Awoko, Independent Observer and For Di People newspapers.
He was, from 2009 to 2011 Assistant Public Affairs Officer, in the Office of the Commissioner-General, National Revenue Authority. Before that between 2008-2009, he was Communications Officer at the Society for Democratic Initiatives, a local NGO that was leading the campaign for the enactment of a Freedom of Information law in Sierra Leone.
He also worked briefly, for a period not exceeding six months as Communications Specialist, in a World Bank sponsored Project, on Fisheries Management in West Africa, the West African Regional Fisheries Project-Sierra Leone.
John Baimba Sesay is happily married with one daughter.
